What Is The Gospel?

The Bible teaches that every person has sinned against God and deserves His righteous judgment (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23). No amount of good works, religion, or personal effort can make us right with Him.

But God, in His great mercy, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live the perfect life we could never live and to die on the cross for sinners. He was buried, and on the third and appointed day He rose again in victory over sin and death.

Salvation is by God's grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Everyone who believes in Him has eternal life and is forgiven because of His finished work, not because of anything they have earned.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV)
